How Do You Sleep by Sam Smith is a song that instantly drew me in and became a part of my repeat music rotation the minute I first heard it. When I was tasked with designing a small book based on a song or poem, I immediately thought back to this song. This project was an exercise in illustration and layout, letting me experiment with illustration styles and how they interact with typography. I drew inspiration for this project from the promotional visuals and music video for the song, which included bright hues, warm colors, forbidding shadows, and a haunting and mysterious undertone
